Ellipsoidal head is also called elliptical head or elliptical dish end. The shape of this ellipsoidal head is more economical, because the height of the head is just a fraction of the diameter. The elliptical dish end radius varies between the major and minor axis usually with the ratio is 2:1. The elliptical tank head is the economical solution for medium pressure tanks due to the reduced metal thickness requirement.

Manufactured via integrated hot forming using large-scale spinning equipment, these components cover a full range of thickness specifications and support customization with special materials such as SA537 CL2.

They undergo X-ray non-destructive testing and heat treatment calibration prior to dispatch, with dimensional tolerances strictly controlled.

They are suitable for engineering projects including oil and gas storage tanks, chemical pressure vessels, and heating system tanks.

The vessel dished head is the end cap on the pressure vessel and is a major pressure-bearing part of the pressure vessel. The role played is that of sealing. Firstly, it is made into the upper and lower bottom of the tank-shaped pressure vessel, secondly, when the pipe reaches the head and is not ready to extend forward, a head is used to seal the pipe in the form of welding. Products with similar functions as heads are blind plates and pipe caps, but these two products can be dismantled. But these two products can be disassembled, whereas a head cannot be disassembled after it has been welded. The fittings used with them are pressure vessels, pipes, flanges, elbows, tees, crosses and other products.
